Terms.
Effective April 2026
These terms cover your use of Clarity (the iPhone app and clarity-app.ai). They're meant to be readable; if anything is unclear, write to us at hello@clarity-app.ai.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. We won't ask for your password by email, and we'll never SMS you a verification code we didn't initiate.
What Clarity is and isn't
Clarity is a journaling app. It is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not a substitute for therapy or professional mental-health care. We design with adults with ADHD in mind, in consultation with clinicians, but Clarity does not diagnose or treat any condition.
If you're in crisis, please contact a crisis line or trusted person — Clarity is not designed to detect or respond to acute risk.
Acceptable use
Use Clarity for your own journaling. Don't try to extract our prompts, train competing models on our outputs, or use the service in any way that would put another person's safety at risk.
Subscriptions
Paid tiers (Steady, Grounded) bill annually through Apple's App Store. You can cancel any time from your iOS settings; cancellation stops future billing and leaves your subscription active until the end of the current period. Refunds are handled by Apple per their policy.
Liability
Clarity is provided as-is. We do our best to keep it working and your data safe, but we don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the most recent twelve months.
Changes
We can update these terms from time to time. If a change is meaningful to you (e.g. a new billing structure), we'll email you in advance. Routine corrections (typos, clarifications) we'll just publish.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, where Clarity Labs is registered. Disputes that can't be resolved by writing to us go to the courts of Berlin.
